Baby Sadie, where you at?

I am 40 weeks and 1 day pregnant.  We're really hoping Sadie comes soon!  We can't wait to hold her and stare at her.  I just want to know what she looks like.  I hope she has the best features of Brady and me combined :)  Mainly, I want her to have my eyes since Brady's are so squinty!  Sorry Brady!  I have had lots of painless contractions randomly, so that's a good thing.  Hopefully she'll make her way out in the next day or two.  We're trying to be patient though.  I'm not too worried or upset about it because I've had the easiest pregnancy ever.  I am having a harder time sleeping at night since I have to get up to pee constantly, but once again I don't really have much to complain about.  Below are a few prego pictures, and we have Sadie's corner all set up and ready for her arrival.  It all looks so cute and I love how the dresser turned out that Brady painted.  What a good Daddy!
Oh a funny side note... Brady is pretty anxious for Sadie to get here.  Anytime I say, "Ow" or make a grimace because of some random pregnancy pain, he'll say, "are you okay? are you having contractions?  do we need to go to the hospital?"  He is gonna have a heart attack when I actually go into labor.  I may not tell him until the very last minute :)

36 weeks... I think

38 weeks

40 weeks!

This is one of the "going home" outfits I picked out for Sadie.  Brady really loves that onesie since it's the only clothing item that talks about "Daddy" :)

I used this cradle when I was a baby, so it's pretty special.  It looks pretty awesome!
My dad turned 67 on January 25th, so I planned a family birthday party for him.  8 of us siblings were there, so it was pretty fun!  My dad is such a good person and I'm lucky to be his daughter.  He always says that I screen his phone calls, but I really like that he calls me and wants to talk to me.  He even has me as his screen background on his cell phone!  haha, I did that :)  And look how pretty my mom is.

We sent this pic to Corinne because she was the only kid who didn't call my dad on his birthday... hehehe :)
A few weeks ago, we had the most beautiful sunny day and I took advantage of it.  I walked down to Matthew's beach (about a mile from our house) and sat on the lifeguard tower for over an hour.  It was so nice to soak in the sun... even though it was still pretty cold outside.  I sure love Washington and all the beautiful scenery there is to offer here...

Leah and Shay and Colin invited me to go on a field trip to Snoqualmie Falls!  It wasn't the clearest day, but it was still beautiful and fun.  We walked down to the lower viewing area which had been closed for like 4 years or something.  The last time I went down there was when I was a senior in high school.  Maybe even a junior, so that was cool.  The hike down was kind of steep so me and Shay waited at the bottom for Leah and Colin to come get us.  Shay has some leg injuries and I'm just slow and pregnant!

You can hardly see the waterfall with all that fog.

Me and Colly Pocket in the backseat
The Mariners won the World Cup!!! We were so excited!!! hehe just kidding.  We watched the Super Bowl at Paul and Tracy's house and everyone cheered the Seahawks to victory.  I was so proud of myself because I watched the whole thing!  I even know a lot of the player's names now.  I'm what you call a "sports fan". Maybe not ;)  Leah totally fell asleep though just to rat her out.  It was pretty cool to see a Seattle based team do so well.  Go Lebron James!

I finally took some pictures of these pictures below.  18 years later and we're still the cutest!  I gave the more recent version of this pic to my mom and dad for Christmas and it was a big hit!  The photo shoot itself took forever because we wanted it to be exactly right.  Hence the mattress background and the paper puppy taped to Colin's t-shirt :)

We invited Megan and Riley up to Seattle for a date night.  I made pulled pork tacos and we ate and were merry!  We played some card games and then headed to Comedy Sportz in Ballard.  It's an improv. group and it was pretty good.  Except for all the middle-aged drunk women who were super annoying... we made the best of it though.  I sure love hanging out with Megs.  She's been my friend since we were in kindergarten and she is pretty awesome.  I'm really glad we're still close.  Her boyfriend, Riley is pretty awesome too.  They're pretty perfect for each other :)

For Brady's work, we got to have dinner at the Space Needle!! It was so much fun!  And expensive!  But who cares, cuz we sure didn't pay for it :)  His company made some goals so the president took the administrators and their wives out for this fancy dinner.  Somehow Brady and me got to go even though he's not an administrator.  He is pretty awesome and has done a lot of good things for them, so he totally deserved it.  Brady had a 90 dollar steak.  I had a 60 dollar one.  Hands down the best steak I've ever had.  So yummy!  The night was super clear and beautiful as well.  The restaurant rotates slowly so you can see a 360 view of downtown Seattle.  The rotating made me feel a little dizzy every once in a while but it wasn't too bad.  We felt so fancy and cool being at the top of the Space Needle... it's definitely a once in a lifetime thing!

My dessert was a scoop of yummy chocolate ice cream with dry ice to make it look cool :)
My last day of work was almost two weeks ago... I'm REALLY going to miss my girls!!  I already do in fact.  If I think about it too much, I'll start to choke up.  Paige is such a sweetheart and I'm so grateful for the opportunity I had to be her nanny.  I've never had so much fun being a nanny as I did with her.  The last time I put her down for a nap, she was being so cute and kept saying, "hi Jewie" and I almost lost it.  I hugged her really quick and said good night so I wouldn't cry!

This is the last night that we watched the Rosenthals.  They are such a solid and sweet family.  We really love them!

On my last full day with the twins, we went bowling.  The girls totally beat me.  My score was 79... so embarrassing!!  The twins have texted me a couple times asking, "Is the baby born yet?" They're so sweet to think of us.  I'm glad they're excited for Sadie to get here!  I'm really glad I got to be Hailey and Sofia's nanny as well.  I loved talking with them and having lots of fun adventures.  They're 11 now and so mature for their ages.  I'm going to keep in touch with them for sure. I want to be invited to their future weddings! :)

The next pics are all about Brady!  What a hunk. He's been playing flag football this season as the quarter back for the team.  He does a really good job.. I'm bad though and sometimes only point out the times when he throws badly hehe oops!  I'm the only fan that comes though so I think he appreciates that.  So some BIG NEWS... Brady accepted a job in Salt Lake City, UT.  It's for a healthcare software company called Health Catalyst.  This opportunity is really amazing for him and will set him up for any future path he wants to take in the healthcare industry.  He'll be a "data architect" where he'll work with different hospitals to help them implement certain software that the company has created to better their hospital system.  He obviously has the healthcare background but will have to learn a lot of the technical side of the job.  The benefits of the job are pretty sweet though and we're happy for the opportunity.  He is super stoked to be so close to his family as well!  I am grateful to be near them as well, it'll be great to really get to know them.  I AM pretty nervous about it... especially since we're moving at the end of March so Sadie will just be a few weeks old.  It'll be really hard being far away from my family, but I can handle it and I'm really trying to have a positive attitude.  This is the first time I've lived outside of Washington state so I know it'll be a great experience and opportunity for me to grow and to rely on Brady and our marriage.  I did tell Brady that this is a 5-year plan and that we will be back and settled in Washington in March of 2019.  I also told him we have to come back to visit at least 3 times a year.

Brady HAS to take an after church nap now that he has bishopric meets starting at 6:30.  I told him this is his "early morning seminary" since he grew up in Utah and had release time :)  He's still a baby!

haha he was in the middle of a yawn when we were facetiming while he was in Utah for his interview with Health Catalyst.

Another sleepy Sunday

Oh and this is just so cute.  We dresseed Des up in a little girl coat and he loved it!! :)
Valentine's day was great this year!  I drove to Brady's work and brought him lunch.  We hung out for a couple hours while he "worked". It was fun to see him in his workplace.  After work, Brady wanted me to meet him at Greenlake at our bench where we first kissed.  I got there before him and after ten minutes, I hear a bell ringing from behind me.  I turn around and see him riding up on this beautiful white bike!  He bought me a bike for V day! What a sweetie pie.  I'm sad though because I haven't been able to ride it yet.  But I will soon!

Look how handsome my working husband is :)

I made Brady this yummy chocolate cake and I made him the little crafty "52 Reasons I love You" out of a deck of cards.  It took me like 4 hours to make so I was pretty proud of it.

That night, we were headed down to my parents house so we could go to Bruce Hansen's wedding reception on Saturday.  Leah and Shay hitched a ride with us, so we had a combined romantic Valentine's dinner at a Thai Restaurant in Tacoma.  We picked this place because we went within the first couple weeks of our courtship.  We remember it being way better than it actually was!  We must have been too infatuated with each other to know the difference ;)  It was fun to hang with Leah and Shay though.  They're always our faves.
