Lake Almanor, CA

Every other year, Tish is gracious enough to let the family come stay at their resort in Lake Almanor.  It's one of my favorite vacation spots.  This trip, I remembered back on the first few times I went to the lake.  The first time, I was probably in middle school and then continued to come back bi-annually.  I was telling Brady how I used to have crushes on the boat boys that worked on the marina.  Haha.  So, this was Brady's third time coming.  His first year, we had just gotten married a few months before.  We realized that that trip was probably the best because we didn't have kids yet and we could do whatever we wanted! ;)  But for reals.  Then his second time, we had Sadie and she was 7 months old... and this year, we obviously had Sadie and Graham and it was a lot more work than any previous year!  We still had tons of fun and I'm so glad that our kids get to experience such a lovely place.  We were on the boats for a few hours at a time and our kids did pretty well.  Graham slept and Sadie stayed mostly entertained.  :)  As long as they weren't screaming, I called it a success.

I love spending time with my family, and I still feel like a week wasn't long enough!  Probably because 10 of us kids were there plus my parents and Grandma Lee.  My Uncle Wayne stopped by for a few minutes to say hello, and Grandpa Mac and his lady friend Joanne came for a day as well.

The last day, we wanted one last ride on the boat before we headed home.  It was just our little family, so I drove the boat while Brady and Sadie went on the tube.  Poor Graham was left on the boat floor :)

My brothers are creepy

My goal this trip was to get my board off the water on a jump and I did it!! Only like 4 inches, but I'll take it :)

We went to Mount Lassen National Park one of the days and I'm so glad we did!  It was a gorgeous hike.  I carried Sadie for the first half and we paused to take a picture at one point.  I didn't want a shadow on my face so I went to turn my hat backwards.  As soon as I did, Sadie swiped my hat and threw it off a cliff!  Little rascal.  Thankfully, It got stuck on a ledge so Brady saved the day and retrieved it.  Sadie got to ride in the back of the car with Kylee and Indiana and she felt pretty cool about it. She loves her cousins!
